The new New Lebanon School continues to round into shape, as the Feb. 20 move-in date for students and faculty rapidly approaches.
On Monday, the New Lebanon School Building Committee released its February update on the project:
- Final cleaning is ongoing as classrooms and areas as completed.
- Furniture is being delivered and installed
- Teacher and staff contents are scheduled to be packed and moved over February break
Work anticipated in the coming weeks:
- Interior finishes to be completed, progressing from 2nd floor to 1st floor areas
- Remaining ceiling tiles will be installed
- Corridor flooring is progressing
- Gym equipment and flooring is ongoing
- Smartboards are being installed
- Staff training of equipment and systems has begun
According to the update, the project has received its fourth reimbursement from the state of $3.5 million, totaling $15.7 million to date.
There will be a community open house and tour on Feb. 23 from 10 a.m., to 12 p.m., and a Magnet Program Open House and Tour on Feb. 23 from 1 p.m., to 3 p.m.
