Santo “Sam” Lagana passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018. Sam was the loving husband of Josephine Lagana. Sam was born on Sept. 14, 1948 to the late Antonio and Antonia Lagana.
In addition to his wife, Sam is survived by his daughters Tricia (Bill) Dessureau and Sandra (Mark) Rakowski, his stepchildren Judith and James Wallace. He is also survived by his sisters Angie Colaluca and Jo-Ann (Bill) Federice. His five grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Mary Lagana and joined in heaven shortly after by his brother-in-law Tony Colaluca.
Prior to his retirement Sam worked at Pitney Bowes for 35 years and cherished his good friends there who made the long and demanding workdays so much easier. He enjoyed his cars – several old school Volkswagen Beetles and in retirement his convertible Miata. His greatest love, though, was time spent with family and friends. He was a warm, generous and loving man who will be greatly missed.
Visitation took place Dec. 28 at the Castiglione Funeral Home, followed by a prayer service. Interment was private.
