Friends of Nathaniel Witherell Board of Directors New Members

David Ormsby, Chairman of the Friends of Nathaniel Witherell, Inc., announced that Riverside resident Pat McDonald, Greenwich resident, Caralyn Stevens and Cos Cob resident, Linda Ziac have been elected to the Friends of Nathaniel Witherell Board of Directors. The Friends support the work of The Nathaniel Witherell, the short-term rehabilitation and long-term nursing care center owned and operated by the Town of Greenwich.

Pat McDonald was founding president for The Hill House located in Riverside. She also served as a Hill House board member and is now a board member emeritus. Her numerous volunteer positions include serving as Old Greenwich-Riverside Newcomers Club President, Greenwich Academy Alumnae Trustee, Riverside School PTA President, Old Greenwich-Riverside Community Fund Drive Co-chair, Greenwich Library Circus Benefit Chair, Eastern Jr. High School PTA Co-president and Greenwich High School PTA Co-president.  She has also served as a board member for the United Way of Greenwich and Southwestern CT Area Agency on Aging.  Pat is also a member of the Junior League of Greenwich and attends St. Catherine’s of Siena in Riverside.

Caralyn Stevens is an active community volunteer and currently serves as Chair of the Selectman’s Nomination Advisory Committee (SNAC). She also is a board member for Greenwich Land Trust and River House Adult Day Center. Caralyn’s past volunteer positions include serving as President of the Greenwich YWCA, President of the Garden Education Center, President of River House Adult Day Center and Vice President of Planning for United Way of Greenwich. She has also served as a board member for the Friends of Greenwich Library. She was also an active member and past president of the Glenville PTA and Senior Warden of Saint Barnabas Church. 

Linda Ziac is a lifelong resident of Greenwich. Linda’s professional career spans more than 40 years in the health and mental health fields as a CT Licensed Professional Counselor, CT Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Board Certified Professional Counselor, Board Certified Employee Assistance Professional, Board Certified Case Manager, Board Certified Dementia Practitioner, and a Board Certified PTSD Clinician. She is the owner and founder of The Caregiver Resource Center, a Greenwich based company providing a spectrum of health and mental health concierge case management and advocacy services for seniors, people with special needs, and their families. She was a founding member of the Nathaniel Witherell Family Council and served as its past president. She is an active community volunteer providing pro bono educational programs for residents of Greenwich and neighboring communities. Linda is also actively involved with the Commission on Aging and has helped with Greenwich’s Aging Friendly community campaign.
