AuthorsLive@GreenwichLibrary will present Bob Spitz to discuss Reagan: An American Journey, on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. in the Cole Auditorium.

Spitz bases his candid and compelling biography on extensive interviews and the family papers of Ronald Reagan (1911-2004) to reveal his subject’s roles as media master, labor union leader, California governor, and U.S. president. His iconic presidency was filled with storm and stress but capped ultimately with the peace talks with the Soviet Union that would serve as his greatest legacy. In visiting his final years, readers share the pathos of Reagan’s descent into dementia and feel the intense sorrow of the millions who mourn his passing. The book is filled with fresh assessments and shrewd judgments and doesn’t flinch from a full reckoning with the man’s strengths and limitations.

This event is free and open to all. Books will be available for purchase by Diane’s Books and signing by the author.
