Greenwich Police Department Issues Mail Theft Notice

By Richard Kaufman

According to the Greenwich Police Department, the blue drop-off mailbox at the Old Greenwich Post Office was found damaged Thursday morning. It’s unknown yet if any mail was taken. The U.S. Postal Service will be handling the investigation.

The GPD is urging residents and businesses who may have used this drop-off box to follow up with the recipients of their mail to confirm that it has been delivered. Further steps, such as monitoring bank accounts, should also be taken to protect any sensitive information that could’ve been in out-going mail.
