Teresa Z. Cofone, 97, of Greenwich died Monday Oct. 8, 2018 at Greenwich Hospital. Born in Greenwich on Jan. 16, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Patsy and Margaret Zumbo.
Mrs. Cofone worked for many years in Greenwich Town Hall and in later years as a title searcher for Cummings & Lockwood. After retiring, Mrs. Cofone and her husband spent some of her happiest times wintering in Naples, Fla. for 27 years.
She is survived by her husband Michael “Buddy” Cofone, celebrating 70 years of marriage on Sept. 11, A daughter Carol Cofone-Hoffmann and her husband Robert, nephew Dr. Robert Ailleo and his wife Jill, Niece Caren Ailleo, and many other nieces and nephews. Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 11 a.m., in the Fred D. Knapp & Son Funeral Home, 267 Greenwich Ave. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
