Join The Friends and Staff of Cos Cob Library at their Annual Open House and Children’s Book Sale, Saturday, Sept. 15, from 1 to 4 p.m.
Activities, crafts, and musical entertainment begin at 1 p.m. with Wizard Rock, a genre of music inspired by the Harry Potter book series performed by singer-songwriter Ashley Hamel. Later in the afternoon the Frank Porto Band, a vibrant six-piece band with the big band sound will perform classic favorites from the American Songbook.
Don’t forget the annual “surprise” visit by the ice cream truck, which is a favorite for all. Refreshments will be available and the Summer Reading prizes will be drawn for both the children’s and adult programs.
For members of The Friends of Cos Cob Library, there will be a 12 p.m. preview sale of children’s books. Non-members may join at the event or pay $5 to enter the Children’s Book Pre-Sale, 12 to 1 p.m. The library is located at 5 Sinawoy Rd.
