Rendering of Gallery for Special Exhibitions.

The Greenwich Historical Society is looking for volunteer gallery guides for its new museum building opening on Oct. 6. A training session will be held Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 2 p.m., at 47 Strickland Rd.

Guides will be stationed in the gallery and are responsible for interacting with the general public and safeguarding exhibitions. Days and hours are flexible. Gallery guides respond to general inquiries about the museum, direct traffic, and assist visitors to ensure a positive museum experience while promoting the security of the exhibition.

Perks include an invitation to the Historical Society’s annual volunteer reception and recognition in their annual report. They’ll also gain museum experience and learn about the Historical Society’s art and history collections.

For more information and to RSVP, please contact Director of Education and Volunteer Coordinator Anna Greco at agreco@greenwichhistory.org or call 203-869-6899, ext. 31.
