

Dominick M. Chiappetta, “Chippy”, 87, of Greenwich passed away peacefully on July 22, 2018 with his family by his side. Dominick was the devoted husband of Marie Chiappetta and the loving father of Marianne Andersen. Mr. Chiappetta was born in Greenwich, Oct. 25, 1930 to the late Dominick and Mary Louise (Riante) Chiappetta.
A graduate of Greenwich High School, Dominick served in the Army with honor during the Korean conflict. Mr. Chiappetta was a familiar face to many in Greenwich from Val’s Liquor store, where he retired as manager. In his free time Chippy loved to play softball, golf, and to go bowling. However, he had no greater joy and passion than his family.
In addition to his wife Marie and his daughter Marianne, Dominick is survived by his brother Richard Chiappetta, his sister in law Jane (Joe) Carriero, his brother in law Rocco (Eileen) Chiappetta and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Anthony and Pat Chiappetta.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 26 at 10 a.m. at St. Roch Church, 10 St. Roch Ave., Greenwich. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, 399 North St. Friends and family may visit Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Castiglione Funeral Home, 544 Old Post Rd. #3 Greenwich CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, stjude.org
