Eversource Takes to the Sky to Survey Electric Lines

eversource-aerial-survey

On the heels of the destructive tornadoes and macroburst that hit western Connecticut earlier this month, Eversource is surveying high-voltage power lines in Greenwich, from Wednesday, May 30 through Friday, June 1, checking for any damage done to the lines during the storm that may threaten electric reliability. The low flying helicopter is also looking for any tree limbs or branches that may have broken in the high winds and be in a position to potentially damage a line and cause a power outage.

Weather permitting, flights are scheduled to take place between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
