Habitat CFC’s Women Build is gearing up for the 3rd Annual “She Nailed It!” Social and Competition, Wednesday, May 9 at 5:30 p.m., at the Old Greenwich Civic Center, 90 Harding Rd.

Funds raised from the event will support the building of the 15th Women Build home in Fairfield County. Teams of four are tasked with raising $500 in order to compete in this ladies-only nail hammering relay.

Teams race, two at a time, to hammer as many nails as possible into a 2×4 piece of wood. The competition will run in heats, with the fastest team from each round moving on. The Final Four teams will compete in the championship to win the coveted “Bedazzled Hammer”!

Habitat CFC and Women Build help hardworking, low-income families achieve a better life while improving neighborhoods and their communities. Our effective program turns blighted properties into quality homes and transforms struggling families into tax-paying homeowners and valued members of our shared community.

Women Build does not exclude men, but instead empowers women to make a difference by learning new skills and using them to build homes for those in need. Women bond and benefit from working together on a construction project, and enjoy the satisfaction of helping families that are committed to helping themselves.

Spectator tickets can be purchased online (prior to May 9) for $25 or $35 at the door. For more information, contact vista@habitatcfc.org or visit habitatcfc.org/she-nailed-it
