On Sunday, May 6, the public is invited to tour two private gardens in Greenwich through the Garden Conservancy’s Open Days program, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Open Day is rain or shine, and no reservations are required to visit the gardens. Admission is $7 per person; children 12 and under are free.

Visitors may begin at any of the following locations: Bayberry Lane Garden, 12 Bayberry Ln. or Sleepy Cat Farm – meet at Camp Simmons, 744 Lake Ave. to board a shuttle to the farm. Explore Sleepy Cat Farm with family members and friends of all ages, and try the scavenger hunt to see how good you are at really looking! Each child who participates will be given a free plant with growing instructions. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

An additional Digging Deeper workshop takes place at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Sleepy Cat Farm, focusing on what to do in your spring vegetable garden. Pre-registration is required for the workshop, and additional fees apply. Call 888-842-2442, or visit opendaysprogram.org for more information.
