Dec. 5, 1948 – April 12, 2018

Haydee would like to let you all know that her work here is done.

She received a call, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family especially her beloved daughter, Miriam, mother, Aida, and father, Fernando. Job security is exactly 110%.

Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be socializing, dancing, and reading to her heart’s content. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed. Food is delicious and you never gain an ounce. She is finally one with God. She was given the gift of life, and now must give it back. This is hard, but she was a lucky woman, who led a lucky existence, and for this she is grateful.

Haydee is survived by her son, Paul Routledge, grandchildren, Keith Guerrero, Crystal Guerrero and Phillip Vazquez and great-granddaughter, Miriam Goodwalt. She is also survived by her loving sisters and brother, Judith and Bob Shmenco, Nelly Gonzalez, Betty and Marshal Gottlieb, Edith and Tom McCole, Fred and Gail Azcuy, Jean Leibrock, and Miriam Coates as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life was held at Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home, 31 Arch St., Greenwich, on April 22
