Greenwich Library will hold the first meeting of a new Middle School Advisory Group on Thursday, March 22 from 7 to 8 p.m. in Teen Central on the second floor.

This new group is for students in grades sixth to eighth who are interested in supporting the Library mission and assisting with programs for their peers, such as book discussions, YA author visits, crafts and STEAM programs, and film screenings. Members will have an opportunity to connect middle school students to each other while making use of the Library’s collections, spaces, and technology.

During the meeting students will learn more about Library’s YA programs and will have an informal book discussion, where members can bring in a book they’ve recently read and talk about it to the group. Library staff member Ed Morrissey will serve as group advisor.

For more information about Greenwich Library programs for students in grades sixth to 12th, contact Teen Services Librarian Ed Morrissey at emorrissey@greenwichlibrary.org, call 203-622-7918, or visit greenwichlibrary.org/teens
