The 34th Annual Shakespeare Competition Set for March 8

Twenty students, chosen through preliminary school competitions throughout Connecticut, will present a twenty line monologue and sonnet at the 34th Annual Shakespeare Competition on Thursday, March 8 at 3 p.m.

The winner will compete in the English-Speaking Union National Shakespeare Competition in New York City. Theater professionals Ian Gould, Jo Anne Parady and Allan Zeller will judge.

The event is free and open to the public and will take place at Greenwich Library – Cole Auditorium.

The event is sponsored by The Greenwich Branch of the English-Speaking Union, Smith College Club of Greenwich-Stamford and Friends of the Greenwich Library.
