As the nor’easter continues to pummel the area with rain, ice, snow and wind, Greenwich Public Schools will dismiss early this afternoon. Per the GPS website:

All schools will dismiss early today, Friday, March 2, following the standard early release schedule (2 hours prior to regular dismissal times). All after school and evening activities are cancelled.

For questions on the status of after school childcare programs located in our schools, please contact your childcare provider directly

Winds will continue to pick up as the afternoon rolls on, with gusts upwards of 60 m.p.h. According to swctweather.com, temperatures will remain warm enough across coastal and inland Fairfield County, which should prevent significant wintry accumulations. Conditions are expected to be more slushy than icy near the CT/NY border.
