In an effort to ensure that Greenwich residents are protected against this year’s dangerous flu season, Family Centers Health Care (FCHC) will hold a special flu clinic on Thursday, March 8.

Residents who have not yet been vaccinated are invited to come to FCHC’s 111 Wilbur Peck Court location between the hours of 4 to 6 p.m. to get a flu shot. FCHC currently has a supply of both pediatric and adult vaccines.

“This has been a particularly troublesome flu season, and we’re urging all residents to protect themselves and their loved ones by getting vaccinated,” said FCHC Manager John Midy. “Recent reports suggest this year’s flu season can stretch into early spring, so it’s not too late to take steps to prevent infection.”

No appointment is necessary to receive a flu shot, and drop-ins are welcome. Residents interested in getting vaccinated before the March 8 flu clinic can call 203-717-1760 to make an appointment.

Operated by Family Centers and funded by a Federal grant from HRSA, FCHC is staffed by nurse practitioners, dentists, licensed clinical social workers, along with other medical and mental health professionals.

Services at FCHC include: Treatment of illnesses and minor injuries, Management of chronic conditions, Physical exams, Immunizations, Dental exams and x-rays, Oral treatment planning, Restorative dentistry, Dental hygiene, Mental health counseling, Wellness and prevention services, case management and much more.

FCHC serves all patients regardless of ability to pay. Medicaid (Husky) and most commercial insurance plans are accepted. Spanish speaking staff are available onsite.
