On Sunday, Feb. 25 at 3:30 p.m., the Astronomical Society of Greenwich partners with Greenwich Library to bring space suit designer and entrepreneur Nikolay Moiseev, MSc, Lead Designer and Chief Engineer for Final Frontier Design, to Greenwich.
Moiseev will make a presentation about space suit designs from the earliest versions through to the current Sokol space suit for International Space Station crews.
Moiseev has over 20 years of space suit experience from the Russian space suit agency, NPP Zvezda, and is one of the few engineers to work with all of the current in-service space suit designs, including America’s EMU and ACES, and the Russian Orlan and Sokol. He has a masters from Moscow Aviation Institute. Moiseev is the Chief Engineer and Designer at Final Frontier Design. He hopes one day to have Final Frontier Design suits on Mars.
The event is open to all at no charge. Registration is required on the Library’s online calendar at greenwichlibrary.org. For more information contact Michele Martin at mmartin@greenwichlibrary.org or visit astrogreenwich.org
