The Department of Parks and Recreation announces the annual tree lighting ceremony will take place on Friday, Dec. 1 from 4 to 4:45 p.m., in front of Town Hall. The event is sponsored by Stop & Shop, Costco, and New England Custom Cleaners.
This year’s ceremony will feature a visit from Santa, Mrs. Claus, Frosty and Rudolf, Mechanical Polar Bear, and Reindeer Rides. The Greenwich High School Chamber Singers will be singing holiday songs. There will also be hot cider, hot chocolate, cookies and candy canes, as well as a lot of holiday cheer.
