The Art and Sound Gallery announces the opening of its next art show, “Behind the Wheel,” an exhibit consisting of paintings of fine automobiles. A reception for the public will take place at the gallery on Thursday, Sept. 28 from 6 to 9 p.m., located at 101 Mill St. The show also features pieces from its permanent collection including the works of local artist Thomas Misisco.
During the reception, visitors are welcome to view the exhibit, enjoy refreshments and meet gallery owner Art Powers. The Art and Sound Gallery is also home to the Art Powers Design Group, “leaders in home entertainment installation.”
“The Art and Sound Gallery is a place for local artists to exhibit their work, and for me to meet people who want to install great audio and video in their homes. I’ve always thought that home entertainment products should blend with their surroundings and the hallmark of my installations is how well they blend visual and audio experiences. The Art and Sound Gallery does that too.”
The “Behind the Wheel” art exhibit runs through Nov. 28 and is open to the public Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
