UPDATED: Tuesday, Aug. 8 at 8:19 p.m.: The power outage that hit the Central Greenwich area earlier today has been fixed, as power has been restored.
According to a representative from Eversource, the outage, which was caused by an equipment issue in one of their substations, affected about 1,500 customers between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.
