The 70th anniversary of Roswell, America’s, most famous UFO incident, will be marked with a presentation on “UFO’s and Technology” on Saturday, June 17 at 11 a.m. at the O’Connor Center, 6 Riverside Ave.

Bill Weber, a prominent investigator with the Mutual UFO Network whose Connecticut branch sponsors the event, will discuss reported UFO discoveries in the Black Forest, Germany 1936, Roswell, New Mexico 1947, Kecksburg, Pennsylvania 1965 and elsewhere and how these discoveries may have contributed to the development of new technologies through reverse engineering.

In his book, The Day After Roswell, U.S. Army Colonel Phillip Corso, who served on President Eisenhower’s National Security Council’s support staff and was later in charge of the Pentagon’s foreign technology desk, stated the he worked on the covert seeding of Roswell alien technology in civilian industries in the early 1960’s. According to Corso, the alien technology facilitated development of fiber optics, integrated circuits and lasers.

Carol Weigold of Riverside, a MUFON volunteer who organized the event, announced that MUFON investigators will be available after the presentation to meet with attendees one on one to hear reports about UFO’s they may have observed.

MUFON, the largest UFO research organization in the world, investigates and reports on thousands of UFO sightings every year. Weigold said that Michael Panicello, Executive Director of MUFON Connecticut will be on hand to answer questions about the organization.

There is no charge for admission, but a $5 donation is appreciated. Coffee and light refreshments will be served. For further information, contact Carol Weigold at 203/637-9619 or carolweigold@gmail.com and visit mufonct.com
