On Thursday, May 11 at 7 p.m., Second Congregational Church will host “How to Live a More Creative and Fulfilling Life,” featuring Gene Jones, author of Younger and Wiser: A Collection of Backstory Poetry and Inspirational Prose.
Jones has led an eclectic career in the world of entertainment spanning four decades, with extensive work in radio, game shows, and other media. He has written across a wide range of genres, including radio commercials, murder mysteries, and poetry. Jones has also worked as a professional speechwriter for over 25 years.
In his presentation at Second Church, Jones will reflect on the role of creativity in creating a fulfilling life, drawing on work from his book. The book blends the immediacy and power of poetry and creative prose with the conversational tone of contemplative storytelling.
A wine and cheese reception will begin at 7, followed by readings, reflection and discussion.
