Town of Greenwich Snow Storm Update

Greenwich First Selectman Peter J. Tesei has announced that the Board of Selectmen will lift the Town-wide snow emergency at noon, Wednesday, March 15.

As the winter storm winds down and the State of Connecticut announcing the suspension of the travel ban at 5 p.m., Tuesday, March 14, the Town’s Emergency Operations Center in the Public Safety Complex will close at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Tesei said. (A list of Snow Emergency roads is available on the Town of Greenwich website, greenwichct.org).

Greenwich Town Hall will reopen for regular business hours at 8 a.m. Wednesday, March 15. The Board of Selectmen’s public hearing on the proposed Board of Education Charter Revision recommendation will be held as scheduled – at 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 15 in the Town Hall Meeting Room. (The Board will hold a special meeting to vote on the proposal at 3 p.m., Thursday, March 16.)

Tesei thanks residents for their cooperation during the snow emergency which allowed dozens of town crews to continue their snow cleanup work, and urges residents and town employees to exercise caution during their travels as the storm diminishes.
