This month, as part of their outreach program, Christ Church Nursery School (CCNS) held a sock drive for Greenwich’s own Neighbor to Neighbor.

“When we learned that socks were one of the most needed items in shelters and pantries, we knew that this would be the right drive for us,” said Jennifer Purdy, director of Christ Church Nursery School.

Children and their families collected over 200 pairs of socks, but that wasn’t all. One CCNS family contacted the sock company, Bombas, to let them know of the school’s drive, and the company responded by making a remarkable donation of 225 more pairs of socks. Students were overjoyed to bring their enormous donation to the pantry. “What better way to celebrate Thanksgiving than to give to others,” shared Neighbor to Neighbor executive director, Nancy Coughlin.
