Les Beaux Arts Gallery celebrates the holidays with “Les Quatres Saisons,” an exhibition featuring the latest works by Anne Strasberg, the French American painter. The exhibit opens on Sunday, Dec. 4 and runs through Jan. 18, 2017.
Strasberg is a storyteller who creates a narrative in each painting. She gets her inspiration from her extensive travels: She paints what she sees but her vision is one of innocence and imagination. She mixes her own colors and applies them in layers of solid forms. Her works have been exhibited in France, The United States, Japan, Israel and Spain and have been used for calendars and UNICEF Christmas cards.
Strasberg was born in Paris, France and is a citizen of the United States. She is a self-taught painter (naive-primitive, folk artist) and regularly exhibits in her studio in Manhattan.
Les Beaux Arts Gallery is located in the Round Hill Community Church, 395 Round Hill Rd. The gallery is open Sunday, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., closed Saturday and Dec. 23, 26, 30, Jan. 2 and 16. Admission is free.
