The Greenwich Choral Society presents its annual Holiday Concert, “Holiday Brass” under the direction of Paul F. Mueller. Two concerts will take place, the first Saturday, Dec. 3 at 4 p.m. and the second one, Sunday, Dec. 4, at 2:30 and 5 p.m., all at Christ Church Greenwich, 254 East Putnam Ave.

This year’s concert, features Jonathan Willcocks’ Magnificat, a melodious and rhythmical setting of the Song of Mary from the Gospel of Luke. The program will also include shorter works for brass and chorus by Jan Sweelinck, Leo Nestor and Julian Wachner.

The December concert will begin with a procession of bells, candles and voices, as the audience is surrounded in the darkened sanctuary with the traditional carol Away In A Manger.

Carols with audience participation will be threaded throughout the program, including Ola Gjeilo’s Northern Lights and Hanukkah songs celebrating the “Festival of Lights.”
