Whether you’re a lover of fine antiques, eager to catch a glimpse of Greenwich’s most spectacular homes or simply ready to start celebrating, Antiquarius, the Greenwich Historical Society’s annual series of high style holiday events, is just the ticket.

Festivities begin with the Greenwich Winter Antiques Show, produced by Frank Gaglio, Inc., on Saturday, Dec. 3, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday, Dec. 4, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The show will feature more than 40 vendors displaying 18th- to mid-20th-century art, decorative objects, estate jewelry, furniture, prints and vintage accessories. Curious about the value of a family heirloom or an estate sale find? Make an appointment on Saturday, Dec. 3, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., by contacting Kathy Brackenridge at 203-637-6209 or DoyleCT@doyle.com to speak with a representative from New York’s Doyle auction house. A café by Frank Street Works Café will be open during the show.

This year’s preview theme for the Opening Night Preview Party on Dec. 2 is “A Tyrolean Black Forest Holiday” with décor styled by Honorary Design Chairman Alessandra Branca. Along with cocktails, food and entertainment, attendees will have the opportunity to consult with some of the most knowledgeable dealers in the business and get first dibs on an array of antiques.

The Holiday Boutique at Greenwich Country Club, will feature more than 35 vendors offerings everything from monogrammed children’s items to knitwear, semi-precious sparkles, decor and sweet treats. The boutique will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec. 7.

Antiquarius culminates with the Holiday House Tour, a once-a-year opportunity to visit five Greenwich homes, on Wednesday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This year’s tour is a medley of architectural and decor styles from a classic, historic Federal to a newly constructed colonial, a contemporary and an artfully curated custom design. An optional luncheon at Greenwich Country Club is available from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Advance reservations are required for both House Tour and luncheon.

Upper level donors to Antiquarius will receive a special invitation to attend an exclusive, private cocktail reception and book signing featuring Honorary Design Chairman Alessandra Branca. Branca has been recognized as a member of Elle Décor‘s A List every year since 2011 and is a perennial member of House Beautiful’s Master Class. If you are interested in becoming an Antiquarius patron or sponsor, please call Katrina Dorsey at 203-869-6899, ext. 15. The event will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 6 p.m.

The events raise crucial funds in support of the only organization in Greenwich solely focused on preserving and interpreting the town’s history. Proceeds support special exhibitions, preservation initiatives, education programs for all ages, a library and archives focused on all things Greenwich and Bush-Holley Historic Site.
