Junior League Accepting Applications for Community Grant Award

junior-league-fi

The Junior League of Greenwich is now accepting applications for its Community Grant Award. Every year, the Junior League of Greenwich awards up to $5,000 to a community organization. The grant is to provide financial support for a community need that is not being met by current Junior League projects or programs. The grant will be awarded to fund new initiatives or expand programs relating to community needs, not subsidize existing programs.

Last year, the Junior League of Greenwich presented the Community Grant Award to two organizations, The Greenwich Alliance for Education and Kids in Crisis. The Greenwich Alliance for Education will apply the grant towards implementing a new program, Mastering Math on Saturdays at the New Lebanon School. Kids in Crisis will utilize the award to launch a pilot “social skills” program called Bucket Skills at three public elementary schools.

Community Grant applications are due Dec. 9. For more information, please call the JLG office 203-869-1979 or email the Community Director, Joselynn Chua at joselynns@gmail.com. Applications can be downloaded from the website, jlgreenwich.org.
