
The Greens at Greenwich will present two seminars in their Good Medicine Workshops Series, “Caring for the Body, Mind and Spirit,” on Wednesday, Nov. 2 and Wednesday, Nov. 16. “The seminars are a continuation in our seasonal series which we present as an educational resource to our community. We address life transitions and issues of interest to baby boomers. November seminars focus on body, mind and spirit health.” says, Maria Scaros-Mercado, Executive Director. They are open to the community at no charge.
Wednesday, Nov. 2 from 6 to 8 p.m., “Caring for the Mind, 70 is the New 50,” will feature Dr. Raj Buddha as he talks about the role of nutrition and exercise in whole body wellness. He will cover how integrative medicine, including, conventional alternative and complementary medicine takes shape for baby boomers and helps us all live longer, stronger and healthier lives. Dr. Raj Buddhavarapu “Dr. Buddha” is Director of Geriatrics and Palliative Care at White Plains Hospital.
The next seminar on Wednesday, Nov. 16 from 6 to 8 p.m., is “Caring for the Spirit, Empathy IQ Workshop.” It will be led by Dr. Stephen G. Jones and Andrew Witter who will discuss practical tips for building strong and engaging relationships at home and in the workplace by increasing your empathy IQ. He is the founder and CEO of EmpathyIQ LLC, a management consulting firm dedicated to increasing service excellence in the workplace by promoting more mindful and sincere empathic behavior of individuals in service-oriented professions. Andrew Witter is President and co-founder of EmpathyIQ LLC.
