First Presbyterian Church Nursery School will be holding its annual Open House on Thursday, Oct. 13 with two sessions, 9:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. This is an opportunity for families looking into nursery school programs to learn more about the school and community. FPCNS strives to develop a love of learning in a nurturing, values-based environment through play and theme-based experiences that prepare each child socially, emotionally, and academically with readiness skills for a successful transition to kindergarten and life beyond. FPCNS is accepting applications for students looking to enroll for the 2017-2018 school year. Students for the ‘Twos’ program must be two years of age by Dec. 31, 2017 to start in the fall of 2017.
This is an exciting year for both the church and the nursery school. Not only did First Presbyterian Church welcome Sean Miller as the new Senior Minister, but the nursery school is excited to have him and his family join the school community as well.
“As a proud First Presby dad, I am deeply grateful for the Nursery School and celebrate the strong connection between our faith community and school community. As Senior Minister of First Presbyterian Church, I look forward to developing our close relationship in the future, on behalf of our families and for the community of Greenwich,” said Rev. Miller.
First Presbyterian Church Nursery School, founded in 1957, educates students from ages two through Pre-Kindergarten level. The purpose of the First Presbyterian Church Nursery School is to design and implement a program that meets the cognitive, social, and emotional needs of its community of children. The program is an outreach of the First Presbyterian Church of Greenwich.
