Greenwich Girls Swim/Dive Defeats Danbury 105-54


The Greenwich girls swimming and diving team earned a win Wednesday when they took down Danbury High 105-54.

Leading the way in the 200 Medley Relay was Marcella Winget, Barbara Malone, Brighid Lewis, Jenna Handali with a time of  2:03.75.

Winning the 200 Freestyle event was Christine Flood (2:09.04) with teammates Kellen Carlson (2:11.48) and Nicole Ragone (2:17.30) finishing just behind her.

Juliette Mangini took home the 50 Free gold with a time of 27.72.

For the divers, Greenwich’s Saylor Kirsch took first with a score of 249.50, followed by Kate Russack, 237.85 and Annabelle Pollack, 237.45.

The 200 Free Relay team secured the victory for Big Red with the tandem of Grace Leigh, Jenna Handali, Kellen Carlson and Christine Flood coming in at the time of 1:52:61.

The Greenwich swim/dive teams takes on both Fairfield Warde and Fairfield Ludlowe next week.
