The Garden Education Center of Greenwich announces the Greenwich Dahlia Society’s 9th Annual Dahlia Show on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 2 to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. As always, this show promises the visitor a sea of exceptional blooms in an array of stunning colors and varieties by growers all over New England. All dahlias will be sold on the final day of the show, Sunday, Oct. 2 at 3 p.m., giving the public an opportunity to purchase prize-winning blooms.
Those interested in entering their blooms can find the complete program schedule on the Garden Education Center’s website. Novices are encouraged to participate. It is important to note that only named varieties will be accepted and must have at least two leaves. Novices are encouraged to enter the “Novice Category.” Volunteers will be on-hand to help stage your blooms.
Entries will be accepted on: Friday, Sept. 29 from 1 to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 1 from 7 to 11 a.m. Judging begins at 11 a.m.
The Garden Education Center of Greenwich is located at 130 Bible St. Admission is free, but donations to the GEC are appreciated.
