Due to a lifeguard shortage the Department of Parks and Recreation announces the following changes in lifeguard coverage at Greenwich beaches for the Labor Day weekend.
Greenwich Point
• There will be no lifeguard supervision.
• The first aid station will be manned.
Island Beach:
• The main beach area at Island Beach will have lifeguard supervision.
• The little beach will have no lifeguard supervision.
• The first aid station will be manned.
Byram Beach:
• There will be no lifeguard supervision.
• The first aid station will be manned.
Great Captain Island:
• There will be no lifeguard supervision.
• The first aid station will be on manned Saturday and Sunday only.
