

The Mary Bush Society of the Children of the American Revolution joined the Fourth of July Ceremony at Town Hall on Monday and led the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance. This is the 12th year the Town of Greenwich has celebrated Independence Day and there were over 600 people in attendance. The ceremony also included flying the historic “Betsy Ross” flag with 13 stars outside Town Hall along with a marching by the Greenwich Boy and Girl Scouts with the flags of the 13 original states in the order they declared their independence; Connecticut was #5. Members from the Daughters of the American Revolution along with descendants of the founders of Greenwich were also involved in the event.
