Starting Monday, July 11, construction will begin on the Brookridge Drive Bridge Superstructure Replacement project. The bridge is located on Brookridge Drive between Fairfield Road and Route 1. As part of the construction work the road is scheduled to be closed at the bridge site from Monday, July 11 through November. The project is scheduled to be completed by December.
The project was designed by Alfred Benesch & Company of Glastonbury. The construction will be performed by A. Vitti Excavators, LLC of Stamford. The construction contract for the project is for $256,306.00.
The following detour will be established:
- Traffic wanting to travel southbound on Brookridge Drive shall utilize Fairfield Road to Stanwich Road to Route 1.
- Traffic wanting to travel northbound on Brookridge Drive shall utilize Route 1 to Stanwich Road to Fairfield Road.
