The Greenwich Police Department announced that the Spring 2016 Women’s Self Defense Class and High School Self Defense Awareness Class graduated June 14. The five-week program was open to junior and senior high school students and applicants between 18-55 years of age. The class met twice a week at the Greenwich Police Department.

The class enabled participants to learn proven techniques that will both bolster their confidence in self-defense situations and overcome physical/psychological situations. Instructors for the program were highly trained and experienced police officers.

Thirty-six women graduated from the program. The Greenwich Police Department is currently scheduling a Fall 2016 Women’s Self Defense Class which should begin September/October. Please check the Town of Greenwich Website for exact class dates as the date arrives. Any additional questions can be directed to the Greenwich Police Community Impact Office, 203-618-8307.
