Signaling its long-term commitment to Greenwich, Houlihan Lawrence, the leading real estate brokerage serving New York City’s northern suburbs, has unveiled its new flagship office at 2 Sound View Drive. The company’s purchase of the building cements its roots in Greenwich just three years following its arrival and a fast ascent to become the town’s top selling brokerage.

Under the leadership of chairman Nancy Seaman, a longtime Greenwich resident, Houlihan Lawrence embarked on a nine month, multimillion dollar renovation of the structure. The new space offers state-of-the-art modernity, complementing the firm’s full suite of digital offerings and its mobile-first approach to the buying and selling of homes.

“This is more than just a move, it’s a broader reflection of the success and permanence of Houlihan Lawrence in Greenwich,” explains David Haffenreffer, who manages the firm’s Greenwich offices. “After opening our doors for business just three short years ago, we’re now the number one brokerage in town, and this move continues our path onward and upward.”

The new location adds conveniences for clients, agents and staff alike including underground parking and close proximity to the Metro North New Haven line. Houlihan Lawrence will operate out of the ground floor, with rental tenants occupying the remaining space. Plans for an exterior refresh of the building were recently approved by the town building department and will soon commence.

“As a resurgence of urban buyers gain interest in Greenwich, we’ll be steps off the platform,” Haffenreffer added. “This business is all about location, and our latest will be an invaluable link to that New York City engine.”

2 Sound View will replace the firm’s previous space at 100 West Putnam Avenue. Houlihan Lawrence will continue to maintain its second Greenwich office at 17 Wilmot Lane, Riverside.
