Twin sisters Trish Bauer and Nancy Pastore-Cole of Coldwell Banker are a dynamic duo known as the Greenwich Twin Team, providing homebuyers twice the work and seamless coverage for each client.
“In a listing presentation, the homeowner usually appreciates they are getting two for the price of one,” said Nancy. “It’s ‘BOGO’ for real estate—buy one, get one.”
Nancy said the Twin Team’s motto is “working double time for your success.”
“We literally can be in two places at the same time—one can be with a client while the other is providing information from town hall,” said Nancy.
Trish and Nancy grew up in Manhattan. Nancy has lived in Greenwich for 21 years and Trish for 20 years. Nancy has been in real estate for 18 years and Trish about 30, and both have enjoyed a colorful history in the business.
A few years out of college, Trish was selling condos on Chicago’s Gold Coast, on Lake Michigan. She also sold in New York City for ten years. Before real estate, Trish worked on the Chicago Board Options Exchange and spent time as a stockbroker.
After Nancy got married, she worked as an agent in Hong Kong. Nancy was also an institutional broker in New York for RMJ Securities Corp. and Chapdelaine Tullett Prebon. Nancy has been a real estate agent in Greenwich for 15 years.
“No job compares to real estate,” said Trish. “It’s constantly changing—each day is different. Between trends, market conditions, and customer needs, it’s a challenge of moving parts every day. That is what makes it vibrant and rewarding, when all the parts connect.”
For Trish and Nancy, the most satisfying connection is uniting a family with the right place to call home.
“One of the things we both enjoy about real estate is meeting new people every day and being able to offer experienced advice on the purchase of a family’s most important investment,” said Trish. “Our success first and foremost comes from loving the job. We also believe in giving 24/7 attention to every listing and buyer.” Being twins, they are able to do just that!
Nancy and Trish also share a personal interest in health and ways to improve it. Seven years ago, they hosted a radio show called “The Health Secret Show,” which focused on natural cures for today’s health challenges. They believe that poor nutrition paired with omnipresent toxins in the environment are the underlying cause of many physical and mental diseases.
Nancy and Trish established The Health Secret Foundation in 2011 with the goal of helping alleviate stress, depression and anxiety in young adults, and informing the public about the lack of nutrition in today’s over-processed foods and the toxic substances present in the environment.
The foundation has held events for this cause and a number of other causes, including relief for Hurricane Sandy.
Back on the real estate front, Trish and Nancy want homebuyers to be cautious about online housing price estimates, since they can be misleading.
“One myth is that the real estate websites know what a house is worth. It is not a black and white formula. There are so many other factors that should be taken into account when pricing a house,” said Trish. “Only a realtor familiar with the local market should price a house.”
“Bottom line: With all the ups and downs and all the frustrations and successes, we enjoy the process and try to have our clients enjoy it as well,” said Nancy.
