International School at Dundee (ISD) fourth graders created a “Living Museum” showcasing risk-taking historical figures as part of ISD’s International Baccalaureate unit “Worth the Risk.” Fourth grade students researched various historical figures – each famed for taking risks in social, political, scientific, athletic or other arenas – and then assumed the personas of the characters in a “Living Museum.” Costumed as their historical figures, students interacted with visitors to the exhibit by sharing information they had researched about the individual, the risks he/she took and the impact of these actions.
