Greenwich Softball Returns To Winning Ways vs. McMahon

The Greenwich High softball team got back to its winning ways Thursday afternoon, beating Brien McMahon High School 20-7.

Big Red used a 10-run sixth inning to lead the way. GHS also netted two runs in the first inning, four more times in the second, once in the fourth inning and three more times in the seventh.

The duo of Julia Greco and Katelyn Grimes paced the Cards, as both went 4-for-5 on the day. Greco added three runs batted in, while Grimes added two RBIs.

Sammy Scordo finished 4-for-6 with one RBI, while both Julie Gambino and Cate Decker pitched in with a 3-for-6 performance. Gambino took home four RBIs and Decker took home three RBIs.

Starting pitcher Sophia Prieto pitched a complete game and had three strikeouts and six walks.
