Aquarion Water Company will be conducting a four-week long water main clean-up in Greenwich starting Monday.

A four-week water main cleaning project by the Aquarion Water Company will begin in Greenwich starting Monday, May 9 and will run through Friday, June 3. The company says this is “to ensure that customers continue to receive the highest quality water.”

Customers of the utility company may notice drops in pressure and some discoloration in their water. Aquarion says that this discoloration results from the temporary disturbance of the water flow, which stirs up naturally occurring minerals that settle in water mains.

Aquarion recommends customers store water in their refrigerators for drinking and cooking. Customers should also refrain from washing laundry if water is discolored. Prior to resuming use, customers should run their cold water faucets until the water appears clear.

Starting Monday, Greenwich residents can expect to see Aquarion crews on the following streets from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.:

Cedar Hill, Echo Ln, Francine Dr, Glen Ct, Glen Rd, Glenville Rd, Greenway Dr, Grey Rock Rd, Hawthorne St Condos, Hillside Dr, Jofran Ln, Kandahar Rd, Maher Ave, Maher Ct, N Maple Ave, Northfield St, Patterson Ave, Pemberwick Rd, Putnam Ct, Ridgebrook Rd, Ridgeview Ave, Riversville Rd, Sherwood Farm Ln, Sherwood Pl, Stillman Ln.
