A Night in Andalusia brought 350 guests at the YWCA Persimmon Ball to southern Spain at the Hyatt Regency Old Greenwich on April 8.

Celebrating 97 years of excellent programs and services, the annual black-tie dinner dance featured flamenco dancers donated by the Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Greenwich and world-class items, from accommodations in Aspen, Aruba and southern Spain to pieces of jewelry from Betteridge and Saks, all of which were auctioned by Terry Betteridge. The crowd danced to music by The Short Bus and then enjoyed the Mercedes-Benz After-Dinner Lounge, where guests were served churros and delicious chocolate Bom Bom drinks.

Proceeds benefited all YWCA programs and services, including scholarships for preschool, after school and summer camps, free services for domestic violence victims, free women’s leadership programs and racial justice initiatives.
