
The Greenwich High School girls golf team got back to its winning ways Thursday afternoon, hosting Trumbull High School and coming away with the commanding 177-218 victory.
The event took place at the Griffith E. Harris Golf Course and was a par 37.
For Big Red, Catherine McEvoy once again dominated the competition, finishing with a 2-over par 39. Not to be outdone was teammate Ashley Feighery, who finished with an 8-over par 45.
Tess Lamhaouar ended her day with a 9-over par 46 and Grace Sunoo took home a 10-over par 47.
For Trumbull, Alexa Brown carded an 8-over par 45, while Grace MacLean finished with a 56 on the day. Taylor Brown tallied a 57 and Meghan Lesko finished nine holes with a 60.
With the win, the Cardinals improved to 6-1 overall and 2-1 in the FCIAC West. Trumbull fell to 1-4 on the season and 0-3 in the FCIAC. Greenwich will be back in action on Tuesday when they face off against Ridgefield High School at Silver Springs Country Club.
