Boating Safely Course Offered

The US Coast Guard Auxiliary holds “About Boating Safely” class Saturday, April 30, at the Greenwich Water Club, 49 River Road, Cos Cob. This is a comprehensive one-day, NASBLA-approved course that covers all major aspects of safe boating, including choices of boats, safety equipment, Connecticut boating laws, boat handling, radio communications, personal watercraft operation, and much more. The New CT “Emily’s Law” will be discussed.

Learn from the experts, have fun, and satisfy the educational requirements for both the Safe Boating Certificate and Certificate of Personal Watercraft

Operations required to operate vessels on Connecticut waters.

Registration is required by Friday, April 29. A $75 fee includes textbook and class materials. Sign-in begins at 7:45 a.m. and the lectures start at 8. The class will finish by 5 p.m. Be certain to have your Connecticut Conservation ID number available.
