To say that the atmosphere was electric during Saturday night’s Greenwich High School rugby game against rival Xavier High School is an understatement.
A loud and energetic crowd witnessed Big Red build a quick 15-0 lead and a 20-7 advantage at halftime. Xavier came back and took a slim 22-20 midway through the second half, but Greenwich pulled through with two tries late to seal the 34-29 victory.
