In its 10th year, The Junior League of Greenwich presented Senior Casino Day at Nathaniel Witherell Senior Center. This day is designed as a day of entertainment for the entire senior community.
The Casino Day featured Bingo, Roulette, Slot Machines and other casino-themed games. Food was provided by Stop & Shop Greenwich. Five Star Premier Residences of Yonkers, a senior living community, donated cake for the 10th Anniversary. The philanthropic Terry Rogers of Horseneck Wines donated wine.
Alessia Adler who spearheaded the event for the Junior League of Greenwich states, “Today we were lucky enough to witness that laughter truly is the best medicine. With live music, we saw a blind resident dance with one of our Junior League members, a resident who was reluctant to play Bingo because ‘she never wins’ have her first Bingo win, and a resident play at the Roulette table for the first time in her life. Those are only a small example of what a wonderful day and experience this event is year after year.”
