Greenwich Hospital will host the 10th annual Pregnancy Primer Fair on Saturday, April 2, from 10 a.m. to noon in the Noble Conference Center at 5 Perryridge Road.
As anyone who’s had a baby knows, there’s that moment when the nurse hands you your baby and wheels you out to your car for the trip home – and all you can think is, “OMG, now what?”
The free event offers a “one-stop shopping” educational experience for parents-to-be and those just thinking about becoming pregnant. The fair primes parents-to-be for what to expect before, during and after childbirth. Siblings and grandparents are welcome, too.
Many experts will be on hand to answer any questions expectant parents may have, including obstetricians, gynecologists, fertility specialists, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, neonatal intensive care unit nurses, breastfeeding consultants and yoga/meditation instructors.
Birthing Center tours (held every 15 minutes) are a highlight of the event, which draws an estimated 300 visitors from Connecticut and New York.
