Many homeowners are confused and/or misinformed concerning this important subject and rely on advisors who may also have limited knowledge about best practices for planting and maintaining our valuable trees.

The Greenwich Tree Conservancy is sponsoring a series of free discussions addressing this topic with the first one “Calling all Tree owners” on Saturday, April 2, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Sam Bridge Nursery, 437 North Street.

There will be a panel discussion covering the following areas:
• Working with Design & Industry Professionals
• Tree Protection during Construction
• Natives vs. Cultivars
• Tree Selection for Storms, Powerlines, etc.
• Mulching, Feeding, Irrigation and more

Speakers on panel are: John Conte of Conte & Conte, Brian Johnson of Hawthorne Bros., Steve Johnson of San Bridge Nursery, and the Moderator, Mark Greenwald of Maher and Greenwald Fine Gardens.

Pre-registration is suggested at: greenwichtreeconservancy.com or RSVP to treeconserv@optonline.net, or JoAnn Messina, Executive Director, 203-869-1464.
