Neighbor to Neighbor will host a fundraising luncheon at Innis Arden Golf Club in Old Greenwich on Tuesday, April 5 at 12 p.m. featuring best selling author and former NY Times food critic, Ruth Reichl. “Ms. Reichl’s story of finding her way back from job loss is one that resonates. We, too, believe that nutritious food is restorative. We are thrilled this luncheon will raise funds to feed and clothe our neighbors,” states Executive Director Nancy Coughlin.

Ruth Reichl, bestselling author of the memoirs Tender at the Bone, Comfort Me with Apples and the novel Delicious! will be the guest speaker. She was also editor in chief of Gourmet magazine for ten years. In this new cookbook, Reichl shares a vulnerable look at her life in the year following Gourmet magazine’s closure, when she found herself out of a job. In the book there are 136 recipes that represent her life’s passion for food. As a thank you, each attendee will receive a copy of the cookbook.

The money raised will provide supplemental and emergency food assistance, as well as summer supplemental food for school-aged children. Funds raised will also provide clothing, linens, diapers and small household items for 2,600 residents of Greenwich, Stamford and Port Chester.
